used and left to deal...

For a number of years  I've driven by this old barn hidden in the brush and trees. Each time I would pass, I would tell myself I need to capture it before it's gone. Well, darned if I didn't find a minute to stop and do just that. I'm really glad I did. It turned out even better then I had hoped.

I'll bet this old barn could relate some great stories if it could talk.

Like most things, it's served it's purpose and no long any use to anyone.
so, it sits in the brush and undergrowth to deteriorate.

Someday, it will be gone like most of us. But, thanks to my camera....it will be remembered forever.

I have a great day, see you tomorrow.

Early to rise, early to bed...

One of those mornings, my honey wasn't feeling well last night so it was a fairly sleepless evening. She has a lot of problems with her neck and see's a Dr to realign it at least once a week. Last night she had a bad spell. Lucky enough she toughed it out all night and I took in first thing this morning.

This is one of the instruments they use to realign her.

But, it is always miserable waiting for your turn...

Nature is wonder-full

Really had a great day today. It stopped snowing and it started raining again, as usual. ( love my rain ). And it melted ALL that beautiful snow away. Oh, darn. (right).

The worms must be happy as well. They were surfacing all over the back yard and the birds were having a banquet.

We don't always get a chance to see a woodpecker that isn't in the trees around here, but, today the yard was full of them. Love it.

notice, not a lick of snow to be had. If you back at yesterdays post you'll be surprised at the difference.

Back to watching the Olympics. See you again tomorrow, I hope.

First snow of 2014.

Okay, I've had enough now, it can melt and go away. I had a chance to take a few pictures and even my honey made good use of my camera this morning...

We don't often get all that much snow around here, so when we do, we have to make the best of it.

We have had a lot of plants already starting to bloom and now...wow

But that's okay too. It's Sunday and I love Sundays. We get to sleep in as late as we want to. Have a great breakfast, play on the computer , and just relax all day.

My favorite part is the breakfast part. We have a tendency to slide just a little on Sundays...MMMM

If my heart last long enough, I'll see ya tomorrow.

must be our turn

I am NOT a cold ( below freezing ) cold person. How ever I would rather it be cold then too hot. So, I'm ready.

I look like I should be holding a staff and herding sheep. But, some friends are playing Soccer this weekend and I want to be ready to take pictures.

I'm now going to go practice drinking hot chocolate. See you tomorrow.

A great sport weekend

Everyone is out of their mind with the Seattle Seahawks going to the Super Bowl this Sunday. But,  that is only the beginning of our sporting weekend.

Friday night I found out that a great friend of mine who had injured his leg and was unable to play Basketball for some time. Was  back on the court this weekend.  I couldn't wait to grab my camera and watch him do his magic.

Then the next morning we had to rise and shine to eat a little breakfast before we headed out for and EARLY morning Soccer game. After a fantastic breakfast, we headed out the watch  Jacey and Natalie ( twin sisters ) play the first of the new season's Soccer games.

This whole team of young ladies are so great to watch in action. We are slowly but surely learning all the team member personally.
