In gardens, beauty is a by-product. The main business is sex and death

"Road trip!!"

Finally, hit the road for our first summer trip.
We love to go visit some friends who live on the
Olympic Penisula.

We go once or twice a year and love the 2 1/2 hour drive.

Gives my wife and her twin friends a chance
to catch up on what's been going on and
relax for a few hours.

They love to steal away for a bit all alone
in the wine garden.

What they talk about, I doubt if any
red blooded male would care to know...

... and we are smart enough to know,
stay away from there ...for now.

Ivy says, "please come again "

I love my girls...

Today at our Grandson's graduation party
I had the opportunity to take a portrait shot
of my Wife and Daughter together.

Catching them together is like
catching a white blackbird...

I can't wait to frame it.

Beauty comes as much from the mind as from the eye.

Every year I look forward to these
plants to bloom.

I'm sure they have a pretty fancy name , but
I have no idea what it is.

I just call them,

" The Devil's poker"

as I did capturing them.

An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest.

What a wonderful day. Watched another of our Grandchildren graduate from High School.

Tarin is ready to leave the nest.

I have to admit, it is easier to watch a grandchild leave home then it was to stand there while our own left home.

But, none the less, they are missed.

I made this portrait of Tarin recently

The moment we all waited for.

The look of completion.
another task well done.

It's a good idea to begin at the bottom in everything except in learning to swim.

Today was one of those fun days
you like to have all the time.

A couple of our Grandbabies came by to visit
and played in the hot tub...

It was all in clean fun

and they were at it for
what seems like hours.

they loved every minute of it too.

I guess, Godliness is next
to cleanliness...right?

bet they took a good nap..

Meanwhile , Dad got his
ears lowered a little.

I think it's for Father's Day.

It matters more what's in a woman's face than what's on it.

I find the second best part of football games is
watching the people....

I love candid shots. Even more when they know
that I am taking them.

Here are a few from the summer scrimmage the
school had the other day....

He's funny Mom....

I'm just adjusting the camera miss....
( right !! )

Nice glass lady !!!
(bet it aint paid for )

What a sweet young lady.
I wonder how many biscuits those little finger will  make.

This is what makes Father's Day a success..

On this shrunken globe, men can no longer live as strangers.

Sunday was the opening of our local
 Farmers Market
For this season.

A good time was had by all attending.

We enjoyed many odd and beautiful people

different typs of goodie shops

lively and lovely music

Oh, and the smell of fried onion burgers....

Trinkets of all manners

and a few things that were....hard to explain

Baseball is the only place in life where a sacrifice is really appreciated.

Who says you can't look pretty,
be prissy and
play good baseball?

This little lady can...

God loved the flowers and invented soil. Man loved the flowers and invented vases.

I spent the day in the yard with my honey

enjoying our flowers.

and it was so rewarding.

The children of our yard.....
