You can give without loving, but you can never love without giving.

My sweet wife and I have had the same appliances since our children were very young. They're all nearing that big 40 mark.

so that tells you how long we've had them.

So, she says, that's enough...and she bought us
( because I like to cook ) a NEW glass top range and a
HUGE brand new refrigerator /freezer.

I'm so tickled I could pop !!

Childhood is a promise that is never kept.

We overlook the obvious

there is so much beauty in the world, it's a shame we don't notice it more...

A daughter is a gift of love.

A daughter is a little girl who grows up to be a friend.

Our Son and Granddaughter attended their first
Daddy-Daughter Dance
tonight.

I had to take the advantage of making
something special for the occasion.

The more you sweat in practice, the less you bleed in battle.

A new season begins...

Yesterday, our Grandson Beau started his last season of wrestling in his middle school. ( we use to call it Jr. High )

We were all excited and it was fun seeing the parents of the boys who have competed together with for years.

Next year most of the boys will be going to different High School in the area. So, it's the last season for the parents as well. They will be missed.

It really felt good to get the old  camera out again set up for action shots.

A Valentine gift

For the Valentine Holiday, Kim Klassen gave us all a free texture to try...

This was my attempt to use that texture
she named " Cherish "

Thank you for taking time to look.

I've always had a special place in my heart for roses

Ah, to be a hobo. A young man's dream

blending in. Nice try

Youth is a wonderful thing. What a crime to waste it on children.

Birthdays come so fast...

Our YOUNGEST granddaughter Naomi just turned 5 years old this weekend.

There was a lot of fun had by all.
Especially Grandpa with a camera in hand.

Naomi's giving it her all.

Her Dad set such a nice table for her party...

Naomi's little cousin Elizabeth was all dressed
for the party.

Sweet Finley, had most of her fun chasing the
party favors...hahaha

Naomi's cousin and BFF Janae, finally wore out.

Who makes you think we've had too much candy ???

A lazy day at home.

Finally  some welcome Sunshine.

Today was just a lazy play in the SUN day.

It's been so long since we have seen the sun that it was not only me who was enjoying it...

tired of mousing, she takes a minute in the sun.

This beautiful Pampas grass was  waving at me in the soft breeze that was dancing in the sun also.

I took a quick shot of a few roses and made it into something I can share with my wife..

I thought I might branch out a little...LoL.

Life begins at retirement.

I love having neighbors

The wife and I took a little field trip to a near by neighbors who I knew has lots of OLD farm implements laying about the yard.

Threw on some Sepia and a little texture here and there .

  Bingo !

todays blog was born.

very old Fordson tractor

ready to turn the soil at a moments notice...not

now protected by the orchard
and those who dwell within.

Bet this has caused some aches and pains

You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation.

Today I felt the need to share some candid portraits that I did.
it's always so much fun to catch people in their natural state.

Artists are just children who refuse to put down their crayons.
