Not a fit day for man or beast..

Today was one of those wet,cold, miserable days that you just want to wrap up in a blanket and forget it ever started.

It had been raining most of the morning and my honey just loves a hot Green Tea Latte' in this type of weather.

So, being the wonderful and kind husband that I am...

I went and got the spoiled little brat one.

She would have done it for me.

I pulled into the gas station to fill up and as I stood by the rear fender of my car bored to death waiting for it to fill in comes this little classic 1929 Ford Woodie.

Wow !@!

I whipped out my camera and went to work.

Enjoying a stroll in town...

Ah, first week of Summer. I took a little stroll down town Auburn this morning. After the wife and I stopped at the Farmers market.

And I didn't even buy any pastries or goodies.

This is Main street East in town with all the lovely hanging plants the city takes care of.

A very old veteran establishment here in town. Nelson's is a landmark to the locals.

This lovely Seniorita was selling flowers at the market.

It was truly a fun morning.

This morning I had the pleasure of a spur of the moment shot.

As I was coming in from the car with an arm load of stuff, there was this beauty on the plant next to the door.

I ran in the house and got my camera. Thanks God, it was still there.

This is Josephine. My lasted victim for my new camera. And she helped with me with this assignment on a black and white portrait.

Fun morning with a Humming Bird

This weekend I was fortunate enough to get a new Nikon camera. I unpacked it and took it out on the patio to play with the buttons.

I saw this little guy having a bite to eat and thought, why not. I hadn't even set up the camera yet. And I shot them a little darker then I would have liked, but I was amazed how they came out.

Can't wait to try it again at a higher speed.

These little rascals are FAST.

I'm sure I will be taking a bunch more as time goes on.

Kim's new texture for the weekend.

Kim Klassen sent this wonderful Post card texture to share with us all Sunday. I had just gone out in the yard to take a few pictures of the wife's flowers. Worked out great.

Again Kim was showing us the use of Brushes in Photoshop. This was my last attempt.

Last but not least, I made this for my honey. Using her flowers as my muse.
