Life is about using the whole box of crayons.

It hasn't been all that much fun being confined to the house in all this nasty weather so it was a welcome pleasure to get out with my camera for a change.

it was one of those days where even a little bit of color was welcome.

I spotted this lovely bush at the bank.

What I was allowed to do with the photos was up to me.

I was amazed with the texture of this headlight.

Most of us don't need a psychiatric therapist as much as a friend to be silly with

It's so much fun watching others making a fool out of themselves. And even funnier when you know they're  sober and still out there.

For example: The buck of the herd.
( Hahahaha )

...and the baby buck.

And then, they're the guy who looks ALMOST normal.

I am learning all the time. The tombstone will be my diploma.

I want to take a minute to thank some very special people who have helped me learn to use textures with my photography.

Kate and her husband and Border Collie (George) have inspired me from Maryland for a long time. I love to visit Kate's blog each and every day to see what is going on. She is so down to earth and so willing to share. I love what she does and hope to do as well at blogging one day.

It was Kate who introduced me textures with my photos. I had admired her work and had no idea what it was or how it all worked, but she was more then willing to explain and show me how.

She then introduced me to Kim Klassen's blog and more textures...It has been a fun and artful journey.

Below are two new photos I have used to submit to Kim's Tuesday Texture  competition.

My own prescription for health is less paperwork and more running barefoot through the grass.

Each week my wife and I make a trip to see our local Chiropractor, Dr. Saggau

Those at the front desk are all so warm and welcoming...

Dr. Placke is the new kid on the block, but, he comes with a long list of credits to his name...

Dr. Saggau is the owner and  main Doctor and our Doctor .
The wife worked for her here for 13 years before she retired to be with me.

But, she still misses it. I can tell.
Here she is getting her adjustment.

And last but not the least is the lovely Dr Webb.

Every mile is two in winter.

Finally an end for now. This has gone away except for a few little patches of snow here and there.

Beautiful as it was, I'm not looking forward to the next round.

ice from our hedge, slowly melting.

as it melts, a quick freeze makes it a new wonderland.

Every mile is two in winter.

After a few days of snow now the weatherman has decided we've had enough for a while and it is all turning back to rain.

Can't say that I will miss it when it's gone, but, it has been fun to capture things in a different perspective.

The house across the way...

our now empty little bird feeder...

The little guy who made me laugh all summer.

Is anyone really reading this?

sharing a personal moment...

I have to share to day. I cracked up at my wife. She put on her boots and coat while still in her jamas to go out and get the garbage can after the news said there would be no pick up today because of the snow.

After she left I grabbed my camera. She about died when I posted the pictures on Facebook. Hahahaha

going for the can

I got it honey...

Oh, no you didn't ...

When I get my hands on you....

Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.

When it is so nasty outside I have to find some odds and ends  that will attracted my camera.

God loved the birds and invented trees. Man loved the birds and invented cages.

I truly love living in the Great Northwest.

There are so many wonderful places to see life.
