A perfect summer day is when the sun is shining, the breeze is blowing, the birds are singing, and the lawn mower is broken.

The time when fun is to be shared

This was one talented little lady

While at a baseball game today, this young lady was riding some split in the middle skateboard that she propelled by wiggling here feet back and forth...never seen  one like that before and she was good at it.

she would zig-zag back and forth through crowds of people and never waver even in the slighted....

she held her head up and powered that thing like she had

been born of the darn thing...

later that afternoon, I saw her wisk by me

while she had a dish of ice cream in her hand 

and never dripped a drop.

I love being married. It's so great to find that one special person you want to annoy for the rest of your life.

As my wife and I journeyed on our

 4th of July 

outing, we passed this beautiful old

home.

I fell in love with it's odd design.

I shot it from various angles 

and did it in a variety of 

colors and styles.

A child needs a grandparent, anybody's grandparent, to grow a little more securely into an unfamiliar world

With the coming of summer comes a number of chores my old bones just don't allow me to do with out great difficulty. But with the grace of God and accommodating children and 

Grandkids, these things have a way of getting accomplished.

Our son Steve and his son Zach are

trimming our front hedge.

I really think an ice cream is in order

for a job well done.
