11-23-10

Wow... for the most part today the Pacific Northwest  got a  shoot of Ol'man Winter.

We were spared for the most part here at home, but, most were not. Lots of snow and cold temps every where.

I took these two just as the snow started to fall..

It is pretty to watch. Especially when you've reached that time in your life when you DON'T have to get out in it.

Just sit back and enjoy the totally beauty of it all.

Ahhhh, life is good....

11-22-10

Just like every other Grandparent in the world , we all believe our Grandkids are the best, the prettiest and the most wonderful.

Well, me too.

And with seven of them to choose from, it can be a problem.

So, today, I'm sharing, Naomi.

She the littlest of the bunch and just a sweetheart.

Grandpa would slay a dragon for this one too.

11-21-10

Our weatherman has been predicting snow all day, but with hope it will hold off just a little while longer.

This morning I wandered out  because the SUN was shining.

We had a little bit of frost but just enough to make it nice for me to catch a little of our last greenry as it thawed.

don't forget to click to see it larger.

11-20-10

Well, folks, unfortunately , tonight was our last night of football for the 2010 season. Our boys got their hats handed to them in the second round of the playoffs.

us 0 , them 31

But it was a fun and exciting season.

I had to laugh. As I looked up in the stands I saw this die heart  fan sitting there as you can see. Now,let me remind you. The temp was 34℉ , raining, and a not so light wind blowing.

And here sits this doorknob in a t-shirt and shorts....

And I bet he drove there all by himself....

Oh, I'm in big trouble today...hahaha

Today is my honey's birthday and I posted this picture on Facebook.

The killer is, she doesn't know it yet.

By the time she gets to the " scold me" stage , everyone would have already seen it. Hahahahaha.

Have a Happy Birthday Honey !!!

I love you !!!

11-18-10

I have to share a funny story. For the past three or four days we have had this ONE silly bird at the feeder. Others come and go from the feeder, but , not this little idiot.

He eats a few seconds and then he flies into the window

SMACK !!

Over and over.  I thought it had to be his reflection, but, I can stand right in front of the window and wave at him and he just keeps smacking the window.

Today, I looked out at him and I saw this..... we cracked up.

One too many smacks...Hahahaha

11-17-10

It was just too windy and rainy out today to go find something to shoot, so I'm going to share once again.

A great friend of mine, Christina Plantinga,  that I met in a photography group on line posted a capture of one of her horses in the fog.

The minute I saw it a song came to mind.

I hope I posted the song correctly,

Have a great day.

I went out looking for a little background color for a picture I wanted to make of my pretty little wife. These two groups of trees and their background came to play.

The finished product is at the end.

But fame is theirs - and future days
On pillar'd brass shall tell their praise;
Shall tell - when cold neglect is dead -
"These for their country fought and bled."

I made this after I got home.

I received a Captain's citation

Home at last with my lovely bride.
