God made rainy days so gardeners could get the housework done.

As promised, here is an update on
my tomato plant.

notice I said, " plant ". I only have ONE.

might say it is a practice run for next year...

I can't wait for one to turn red.
then I will know I have done well.

I  try not to over water, but, I have been told you must keep them well watered.

I'll keep you posted on
 how they are doing.

Earth laughs in flowers.

I have to admit, the latter part of summer has never been something I've looked forward to.

Not only are the days shorter, but, the depletion of the flower beds tends to sadden me.

Hopefully this is NOT the last of the color I will be able to capture this season.

No man needs a vacation so much as the person who has just had one.

A good friend of mine and I were down at the river today.
The weather of course was beautiful. Just the two of us
walking along mind our own business when all of a sudden…

…there in the water were  two, I say again, two lovely young
ladies waste deep in the cool soothing river.

So, I told my buddy, why don't you swim out there and  fetch those two
 and we'll go to dinner.

This is what he brings me….man's best friend my foot !!
